My mission - Political Neutrality
To give POWER back to the PEOPLE and create a “Fair Go” future with a Ground-Up model.
To give POWER back to the PEOPLE and create a “Fair Go” future with a Ground-Up model.
I was born in Sydney and grew up in Millmerran. A Chinese-looking Aussie boy in a small country town.
After studying Pharmacology and Physiology at UQ, I worked in the IT industry. I travelled overseas and was employed by one of UK's largest conveyancing firms, before returning to Brisbane to start a family. My career path also includes the Pharmacuetical Benefits Scheme, Max Employment and South Cross Motel Group.
For too long, we have entrusted our politicians to make decisions in our best interest. But it seems more likely that they are making some decisions for themselves or their parties' vested interests. If elected, I will work on the following:
1. Trust in our politicians.
Is it fair that when caught driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, we lose our license or job. Yet, we can only trust, on good faith, that our politicians are deciding our laws while in an unintoxicated mental state. So why do politicians oppose random testing if they are upholding our expectations? I would propose something akin to a 2 strike system: the first strike would be an anonymous warning, the second strike would be a public naming and criminal penalties.
2. .
Is it fair that external influences, such as power and money, shape our laws for commercial and personal gain, mostly at Public's expense. I hope to work, with help from the people of australia, towards tightening the loop holes for taxation, political donations.
3. To solve the "too hard" issues.
In the 3 weeks since I began my campaign, I witnessed the “good-ness” in vast majority of the general public. For eg, when an Irish father of 2, performed an accidental forward sumersault on a hire e-scooter, which cause many people rushed over to assist without hesitation. This is fundamentally the greatest untapped resource we have and by harnessing this, I strongly believe that WE, THE PEOPLE can unite and become the driving force of change for a better society. My hope is to have a non-commercial forum for people to ask, debate, problem solve and form a general consensus to help tackle the “too hard” concerns, such as fake news.
4. True Incorruptibility.
My ultimate goal, with the help of all Australians, is to kickstart the creation of a safe and secure platform for people to vote. A “Fair Go” future to decide issues which affect society as a whole and harnessing upto 3.5 million Queenslander voters to “crowd think” fairer social outcomes. Collectively, we may not always make the right choice (are our politicians perfect), but it will always be the most accepted outcome. By following the people's will, I would be a truly incorruptable politician.
In summary, what do I stand for… “YOU, THE PEOPLE” of Queensland and a better future for all Australians.
On contentious Bills, summarise debated points with rigorous fact-checking by multiple agencies. Disemination of this information in summarised and detailed versions.
Electronic voting with multi-factor authentication eg, MyGov & AEC. Pre-assigned proxy voting for the digitally challenged and others.
On any given social issue (eg. youth crime, fake news, AI, etc.) gather ideas for possible solution. Rigorously debate the merits for each option.
Using the electronic voting system, Queenslander's can vote to decide the best option. I would take these ideas to parliament, creating or changing laws.
